About The Role

As Global Product Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of Ocean Holidays’ worldwide product portfolio — from product strategy and sourcing through to commercial performance, quality and merchandising.

You will play a key role in shaping and growing our worldwide product offering, ensuring we have the right products, at the right price and through the right supply channels to meet customer demand and support the continued growth of our brands.

This is an opportunity to combine strategic product thinking with hands-on sourcing, supplier management and commercial ownership — identifying new opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships and ensuring our portfolio remains competitive, relevant and commercially successful.

The role will also involve some domestic and international travel, including supplier meetings, trade events and contracting trips.

What will you be doing?

Destination & Product Strategy
  • Own the strategy and development of the worldwide product portfolio ex USA across Ocean Holidays brands.

  •   Use sales data, customer insight, market trends and competitor activity to identify product gaps, emerging opportunities and areas for growth.
Sourcing & Selection
  •   Source and select hotels, villas and ground product across key worldwide destinations.
  •   Identify new suppliers, products and partnerships that improve availability, competitiveness, margin and product differentiation.
  •   Determine the best supply route across direct contracts, DMCs, bedbanks, APIs and other partners.
Contracting & Negotiation
  •   Negotiate competitive rates, allocations, dynamic agreements, overrides, exclusive offers, value-adds and favourable commercial terms.
  •   Ensure contracts and commercial terms are accurate, compliant and effectively implemented.
  •   Represent Ocean Holidays at supplier meetings, trade events, conferences and contracting trips.
Supplier Strategy & Commercial Performance
  •   Build strong supplier relationships and conduct regular supplier performance reviews and negotiations.
  •   Work collaboratively with suppliers to improve commercial performance, product quality and the overall customer experience.
  •   Monitor product and supplier performance against revenue, margin, growth and conversion targets
  •   Identify areas of underperformance and take appropriate action to improve results across products and destinations
  •   Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Revenue teams to develop compelling offers, campaigns and product launches.
Product Quality & Customer Experience
  •   Monitor product quality, operational performance, customer feedback and NPS.
  •   Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve recurring issues and improve the customer experience.
  •   Ensure products continue to meet Ocean Holidays brand and quality standards.
Portfolio Optimisation
  •   Regularly review the portfolio and introduce new product where opportunities exist.
  •   Optimise, reposition or remove underperforming product.
  •   Ensure the portfolio remains competitive, relevant and commercially effective.
Product Merchandising
  •   Own the merchandising and presentation of products across the Ocean Holidays Trade Portal and applicable platforms.
  •   Ensure product content, imagery, offers, value-adds and key selling points are accurate and compelling.
  •   Prioritise and showcase products and offers that support commercial objectives and customer demand.
How success will be measured
This role will have a set of rolling KPIs which will be reviewed regularly and aligned to the performance of the managed portfolio.

These will include:
  • Achieving a minimum X% Gross Margin across the managed portfolio, with year-on-year improvement where commercially achievable.
  • Delivering X% year-on-year revenue growth from the managed product portfolio.
  • Delivering £X incremental annual income through overrides.

Who should apply?

We are looking for an experienced travel professional who enjoys taking ownership of a product portfolio and making commercial decisions that have a visible impact.

You should have:
  • Strong experience in travel contracting, purchasing, destination management or strategic sourcing.
  • Proven commercial and negotiation skills — including rates, terms, margin, supplier agreements and portfolio optimisation.
  • A strong understanding of product strategy, pricing, merchandising and commercial performance, with the ability to turn data and market insight into action.
  • Excellent supplier relationship and stakeholder management skills, with a strong focus on product quality and customer experience.
  • An analytical and proactive approach, with the commercial curiosity to identify new opportunities, improve performance and deliver measurable results.
  • The willingness and ability to travel regularly internationally for contracting, supplier meetings and trade events.

About Us

Ocean Holidays was founded in 2004 by two sets of brothers: Daniel and David Ox and George and Harry Hastings, who are still very much active in the business today.
