Ocean Holidays is looking for an experienced Travel Sales Performance& Coaching Manager to join our Sales Management team and help our sales agents reach their full potential.
This is a hands-on sales leadership role with a strong focus on coaching, conversion and performance.
You will work directly with our sales agents through regular 1:1s, call reviews and structured coaching sessions — using performance data and your own travel sales expertise to identify opportunities, develop capability and deliver measurable improvements.
Alongside coaching, you will support the day-to-day running of the sales floor, helping agents maximise sales opportunities, maintain momentum and deliver against individual and business KPIs.
Previous travel sales experience is essential for this position. You will need a strong understanding of the travel sales journey, telephone-based selling and what it takes to convert an enquiry into a booking. Applications without relevant travel sales experience will not be considered.
What will you be doing?
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering regular 1:1s, call reviews and structured sales coaching.
- Identifying individual strengths and development areas and agreeing clear actions to improve performance.
- Using sales, conversion and call data to identify trends, performance gaps and coaching opportunities.
- Measuring the impact of coaching and holding agents accountable for agreed actions and KPIs.
- Supporting agents with challenging enquiries and identifying opportunities to maximise conversion.
- Helping drive daily sales performance and maintain momentum across the sales floor.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the sales operation, ensuring agents have the direction and support they need.
- Working closely with the wider Sales Management team to ensure consistent standards, communication and performance expectations.
- Identifying wider training and development requirements and sharing sales best practice across the team.
- Supporting the ongoing development of both new and experienced sales agents
Who should apply?
Travel sales experience is essential.
We are looking for someone who can bring genuine sales credibility to the role and coach from experience rather than theory.
You should have:
- Significant previous experience selling holidays or travel within a target-driven sales environment.
- Previous experience in sales management, sales coaching or performance leadership.
- A proven ability to coach salespeople and improve conversion, sales behaviours and overall performance.
- Strong knowledge of the end-to-end travel sales journey and the ability to recognise opportunities within a customer conversation.
- Experience reviewing sales calls and providing constructive, practical and actionable coaching.
- Confidence using performance and conversion data to identify where support or intervention is required.
- The ability to motivate experienced salespeople while also holding individuals accountable for their performance and agreed actions.
- Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.
- A commercially focused, results-driven approach while maintaining excellent customer outcomes.
- The ability to work independently when remote while remaining an active and visible member of the wider Sales Management team.
Experience using Galileo and/or Top Dog would be advantageous.
What does success look like?
Success in this role is not simply about delivering coaching sessions, we want to see coaching translate into measurable improvements in agent performance.
Your quarterly bonus will therefore be linked to agreed KPIs, with the opportunity to earn additional bonus for achieving and exceeding performance targets.
You will play a key role in helping us to:
- Improve individual and overall sales conversion.
- Develop stronger and more consistent sales behaviours.
- Increase agent performance against agreed KPIs.
- Identify and address performance gaps quickly.
- Create a culture where coaching is continuous, practical and focused on results.
Hybrid Working
We offer flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely, making this role suitable for experienced travel professionals who may not be based close to our office.
However, this is a hybrid role rather than a fully remote position. You will be required to attend the office when requested for coaching, training, meetings, team development and other business requirements.
We therefore need someone who can offer reasonable flexibility around office attendance.
Our Sales operation is open seven days a week. The role is 40 hours per week, with some weekend working required.
