About The Role

We're now looking for a highly skilled and proactive Technical Project Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving the effectiveness of our internal systems and processes.

Shape Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the configuration and continuous improvement of our back-office system across all functional areas: product, sales, finance, and customer service.
  • Own and manage system user access and permissions to ensure robust user management and security.
  • Strategize, plan, and execute configuration changes and enhancements aligned with operational goals.
  • Oversee supplier API integrations, including third-party connectivity and in-house stock management methodologies.
  • Work closely with internal departments to resolve system and supplier configuration queries, investigate issues, and provide practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external development teams to scope, specify, and deliver new technical features and functionality.
  • Identify day-to-day opportunities to streamline workflows and support operational teams in getting the most out of the system.
  • Take ownership of technical project delivery, ensuring timelines, dependencies, and quality standards are met.

Who should apply?

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with strong hands-on experience in travel back-office system configuration and a deep understanding of how travel businesses operate—from sales and product to finance and customer service.

  • Working with the technology team, you’ll be responsible for the technical optimisation, configuration, and management of our back-office systems. You’ll act as the key link between operational teams, IT, and external developers—ensuring that our systems are performing efficiently, adapting to business needs, and evolving in line with industry developments.
  • Proven experience working with back-office systems in a travel company (tour operator or travel technology provider).
  • Strong understanding of travel product management, including hotel connectivity, contracts, allocations, and third-party integrations.
  • Confident in working across departments to align business needs with system functionality.
  • Experience managing supplier APIs and travel technology platforms (e.g., hotel bedbanks, GDS, channel managers).
  • Hands-on technical experience with system configuration, troubleshooting, and delivery of new system features.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical specs.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
